Ram's Head inspired muff in a familiar enclosure.

Here is the final Earthbound Audio odds and ends pedal. It is a muff based on parts of a few "ram's head" schematics with added mids control and optional silicon or LED clipping.

To be totally clear- THIS IS NOT A SUPERCOLLIDER! It is a big fuzzy muff housed in a gold Supercollider enclosure.

The sound is very thick and rich- great on bass and for sludgy heavy guitar riffs. The volume and gain controls are actually switched in function and the depth switch is the LED / silicon clipping control. Power can be a 9v battery or ac adapter. It is true bypass with Switchcraft jacks and Alpha pots.

It's yours for $135 U.S. or $155 to the rest of the world.

Germanium Centurion Fuzz

I found this moss grey Centurion enclosure in a box of random parts and had some fun. The circuit is a mix between the Centurion and the early 2 transistor Vox Tonebender- predecessor to the Arbiter Fuzz Face.

The sound is brighter than the original Centurion and can get a great crunchy overdrive. A switch in the upper right adds low end in the up position. Transistors are two huge Russian germaniums and caps are Wima film and Bc electrolytic.

$130 brings it to your door in the U.S. or $150 elsewhere.

Germanium fuzz machine

This handsome little fella is similar to the pedal posted yesterday except it is fueled by 2 huge Russian germanium transistors. This pedal also utilizes true bypass wiring, heavy duty Switchcraft jacks, alpha pots and ac or battery power. High quality Wima and Bc caps are used along with metal film resistors.

The pedal is a little larger than the army green fuzz and has the jacks mounted on top. Controls are Level (left), Texture (top) & Fuzz (right). Like the Centurion the Fuzz control sets resistance at the circuit input instead of the mostly useless typical fuzz face gain control. The Texture knob varies resistance between the two transistors allowing a cutting articulate fuzz to a thick woolly fuzz to a slightly gated heavy fuzz. Level controls the output.

Custom silicon fuzz machine

All production Earthbound Audio pedals are now gone so it's time to finish up some one-off fuzz machines that have been waiting in the wings. Over the next week I'll be posting a few of them here for sale at very affordable prices.

First up is a little army green silicon fuzz machine that is a sort of a bastard brother to the Centurion. It uses one BC108 transistor and one BC109 transistor. True bypass wiring, heavy duty Switchcraft jacks, alpha pots and ac or battery operation are some of the features. High quality Wima and Bc caps are used along with metal film resistors.

This one rages and I've got another in the works to keep for myself.
